Self-taught Cook and a Food Enthusiast
Welcome! Glad to see you here. You can call me Vishu, which is my nickname, or Vishal, which is my full first name. Either way, I’m a self-taught cook from a small but serene town Palampur. I started this blog in 2019 and named it after my idea of cooking and eating with fun. Now, I live in Chandigarh and work on this blog part-time and doing my regular job alongside.
I’m a mad foodie and is totally obsessed with food. I daydream about new recipes and experiment them by myself during the weekends. I grew up in the kitchen where my father, who always come up with delightful new recipes, and my mother, who makes delicious food every time and every day. Between my kitchen loving parents, the clinking pans, and the flying Indian spices, it became clear that cooking is in my blood.
Although I’m not a professional photographer, I love photographing food and hope my photos inspire you to step into the kitchen to cook a delicious, healthy meal.
I believe and accept that cooking should be fun, enjoyable and recipes, flexible. I cook both meat and veg food so you will see a combination of recipes on funfoodiez.com. I believe in eating authentic food, which is a food that is as close to its roots of origin as possible. I’m also a passionate follower of the occasional indulgence, and I laugh with friends over food and drinks every so often.
This blog is all around rejoicing good food—real, sustainable food that glees the senses and nurtures the body. I use basic, everyday ingredients, with a focus on fresh veggies, good quality spices, meat products, and cooking oil. I don’t believe that cooking should be out of reach to people and strive to share recipes that are doable for home cooks.
Above all, I love eating food, especially while in the presence of a good company. Awesome food in great company—does it get any better than that?
